The Lowland Paddies

The Lowland Paddies are a bunch of enthusiastic, experienced musicians who, as teenagers, have come to love Irish trad. This Dutch four-piece band gives a fresh, contemporary spin to the traditional songs and tunes. The Paddies interlace up-tempo jigs, reels and the occasional polka with Irish, Scottish and American songs. To give the hands and feet some rest, this up-tempo dance-music is alternated with sensitive ballads and melancholic waltzes and slip jigs.

Since 2004 The Lowland Paddies have played in folk clubs, pubs, and at festivals in the Netherlands and abroad. They took the stage in Sweden, Belgium and Germany. Because of these musical ramblings, over the years Scandinavian and Baltic influences have crept into the repertoire.

The Lowland Paddies are:
Jasper Langenberg (button accordion, vocals)
Robbert Langenberg (banjo, mandolin, vocals)
Anneke Eijkelboom (fiddle)

They guarantee an unforgettable night of Folk Music!
