The Lowland Paddies

Four young people fromthe Netherlands who lost their hearts to Irish trad. What started as an innocent experiment at a school party in 2004, turned out to be quite successful and resulted in many gigs at various (international) venues and festivals. In recent years, the Paddies have shared the stage with luminaries of the Irish traditional music scene more than once. Their repertoire mostly consists of well-known and lesser known Irish tunes and songs, but also includes influences from (among others) Scandinavian and American folk music, resulting in a fresh, modern approach to traditional music.
